Roadmap Interest Group
Purpose of the Interest Group
The purpose of this group is to bring together the people who have the responsibility for developing, maintaining or implementing their company’s smart grid roadmap to share lessons learned and discuss topics of mutual interest.
The interest group will meet primarily by webcasts. So far this year, we have heard presentations from San Diego Gas and Electric and the Tennessee Valley Authority on their Smart Grid Roadmaps. We have also had a presentation on EPRI’s work on Smart Grid Cost Benefit Analysis.
Topics for future webcasts include:
- methodology for roadmap development
- deployment experiences
- maintaining a roadmap
- architecture development
- standards adoption
- cost benefit analysis
Who should participate?
Utility staff who have the responsibility for developing, maintaining or implementing their company’s Smart Grid Roadmap.
To join, contact Don Von Dollen at firstname.lastname@example.org or (650) 855-2210.
Next Webcast – October 16 at 10 AM (PDT)
The next Interest Group webcast is being moved from October 9 to October 16 at 10 am (PDT) / 1 pm (EDT). The topic for the webcast will be Enterprise Architecture (EA) and how EA connects with a company’s Smart Grid Roadmap. This will be a joint webcast for both the Smart Grid Roadmap and the Enterprise Architecture Interest Groups. Michael Reterstorf, Enterprise Architect at DTE Energy will talk about EA work at his company and Dr. Gerald Gray, EPRI Senior Project Manager for Enterprise Architecture will present EPRI’s plans for EA research in 2013.
